The view from my window is of Sandia Mountain. The mountain was aptly named since Sandia means watermelon in Spanish and the mountain takes on deep pink and reddish tones when the sun is setting. I love the way the clouds hang on the peak for hours, sometimes for day. The clouds take on some beautiful colors and those colors are very fleeting so I have to run out with my camera to try to capture the scene.

In 2012, after creating mixed media fiber landscapes for 20 years, I began concentrating on painting on canvas, and photography. Inspiration for all my artwork comes from trips to China, East Africa, Russia, Antarctica, and extensive travel throughout North America and Europe.
